Frequently Asked Trade Questions
Authoritative answers regarding Indonesian commodity procurement, technical specifications, Incoterms, parcel sizes, and export logistics.
Commercial & Procurement
What is United Saud Indonesia's commercial scope?
United Saud Indonesia is an Indonesia-focused commodity trading and export brand associated with United Saud Group. We specialize in coordinating commercial transactions, product sourcing, technical specification verification, and maritime export execution for Indonesian thermal coal and palm oil commodities.
What are the standard Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)?
For thermal steam coal, typical parcel sizes begin at standard Supramax shipments (approx. 50,000–55,000 MT) for ocean export, though domestic barge or smaller coastal parcels may be considered upon review. For palm oil and palm olein, export shipments are commonly contracted in Flexitanks (minimum 1 x 20ft FCL ≈ 21.5 MT) up to full parcel tanker charters (2,000 to 10,000+ MT).
What Incoterms 2020 do you support for international trade?
We support FOB (Free on Board at designated Indonesian anchorage or port), CFR (Cost and Freight), and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) to destination ports worldwide. All commercial terms and risk transition points are stipulated transparently in the sales contract.
What payment terms are accepted for bulk export orders?
Standard international commodity banking structures are utilized, primarily Irrevocable, Transferable or Non-Transferable Letters of Credit (L/C at sight) issued or confirmed by prime international banks, or structured Telegraphic Transfer (TT) schedules with deposit and balance against draft survey and shipping documents.
Coal Specifications & Testing
How are coal calorific values and specifications verified?
All coal specifications are verified at loading anchorage by accredited international independent inspection agencies such as SGS, CCIC, Carsurin, or PT Surveyor Indonesia. The resulting Certificate of Sampling and Analysis (COA) serves as the official governing document for commercial invoicing and specification compliance.
Can buyers specify custom rejection thresholds?
Yes. In the pre-contract stage, buyers submit their target technical specifications and critical rejection limits (e.g. minimum GAR, maximum Total Moisture, maximum Ash, maximum Total Sulfur). We align these requirements with compliant mining allocations before executing binding sales contracts.
What calorific grades of Indonesian coal are available?
We focus on key commercial thermal grades ranging from sub-bituminous 4,100–4,200 GAR (noted for ultra-low sulfur and low ash) to medium 5,000–5,500 GAR, and high-calorific 5,800–6,000 GAR grades.
Palm Oil & Olein Logistics
What packaging formats are available for Palm Olein?
Palm Olein can be supplied in food-grade Flexitanks (21.5 MT in 20ft container), steel drums (190 kg net), HDPE jerrycans (10L, 18L, 20L, 25L), PET bottles for retail distribution, or bulk liquid chemical parcel tankers, depending on buyer bottling and handling facilities.
How do I choose between CP6, CP8, and CP10 Palm Olein?
Cloud Point (CP) indicates the temperature at which the oil begins to cloud. CP6 (cloud point 6°C) is ideal for temperate or cooler climates to maintain liquid clarity. CP8 is versatile for subtropical climates, while CP10 is the economical standard for tropical regions and industrial high-temperature deep frying.
Are non-palm vegetable oils available?
Specialized vegetable oil derivatives (such as Used Cooking Oil / UCO or Palm Oil Mill Effluent / POME oil for renewable energy feedstock) are subject to verified availability, seasonal quotas, and destination import regulations. We confirm these strictly on an inquiry-by-inquiry basis.
Export Process & Compliance
What export documentation is provided with each shipment?
Standard shipping dossiers include: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Clean on Board Ocean Bill of Lading, Certificate of Sampling & Analysis (COA) or Surveyor Inspection Certificate, Certificate of Weight/Draft Survey, and Certificate of Origin (COO). Additional phytosanitary or legalization documents can be arranged as contractually agreed.
